the same project." This paragraph is so important because it puts the
donated land under the "Rules and Regulations for Open Space and
Recreational Area Bonds" This is the application guidelines that where
in place at the time of the Grant submission.
Letter from City of Providence dated 06-01-1989, Mayor Paolino,
Jr., to the DEM - "The 50 acre parcel (Lawton Farm) to remain
as open space." Remember city of providence owns the
Scituate Reservoir that abuts the the Lawton Farm to the west.

Minutes of the Town of Scituate 06-01-1989 Town Council
Motion to approve and submit the Grant. Town Council Motion
to keep Lawton Farm as OPEN SPACE in
perpetuity. This
includes the Minutes book index. In the index it is not indicated
that Lawton Farm was mentioned at this meeting. The only way to find
this information was to either review all minutes from 1989 to
present or locate a copy in the DEM's Grant folder.
Town of Scituate letter dated 06-25-1990 to the DEM Division of
Planning "all parties involved want to preserve "OPEN SPACE"
